Professional Development Workshop

Join the Welcome Center at the Ukrainian American Citizens’ Association. UACA is putting on another Professional Development Workshop on May 10th, 2024, at Noon in Center City, Philadelphia, with their partner Accenture. They are looking to help recently arrived Ukrainians shift from necessary jobs to pursue professional career development.

They will have a workshop in resume writing and strategic approach to finding  the perfect job.  They will provide hands on one on one training on soft skills like interview techniques and communication skills.

Philadelphia Welcomes the Yushchenkos
810 N Franklin St, Philadelphia, PA, Pennsylvania 19123 | May. 12 at 12:00 p.m.

The Philadelphia community welcomes President Viktor Yushchenko (2005-2010) and First Lady of Ukraine Kateryna Yushchenko.

On May 12, 2024, a meeting with Victor and Kateryna Yushchenko on the topic “Ukrainian resilience in the face of Russian aggression” will take place in the hall of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Philadelphia.

The moderator is Metropolitan of Philadelphia Borys Gudziak

The Yushchenko couple will participate in the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, held at 10:00 a.m., and in the prayer for the Mothers, which will begin at 11:15 a.m.

The meeting will be in Ukrainian.

Mother’s Day Picnic

St Sophia Religious Association of Ukrainian Catholics 50th Anniversary Banquet at

Join St. Sophia Religious Society for their 50th anniversary and charity banquet! Proceeds will go towards churches destroyed by the war. There will be a silent auction, a performance by the band Тріода, and documentary footage will be shown.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE USA AND CANADA – SOLO STANDUP BY ANTON TYMOSHENK!
Anton Tymoshenko is one of the most prominent Ukrainian stand-up artists. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, where he wrote a diploma on how humor actualizes political discourse. He is a resident of “Underground Standup” — the largest standup project in Ukraine.

In May-June 2024, Anton will go on his first charity tour of North America, for which he is writing a new program. It will be about corruption, Work & Travel, machine uprising, economy, empathy in war and drugs, so it is possible that the SBU will provide filming. The tour has a serious charitable mission – all 100% of the profits will be directed to help the Armed Forces
